Your Location (city, etc)

Please give us a short summary of your website?
My webstore is for those who are interested in Wiccan, Pagan, Metaphysical, New Age, and Magickal. Whether your a serious practitioner or just simply interested in learning more, we have everything you need.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Something I wanted to do for a long time is to own a worldwide store of my own, I researched the subject for approx. 6 months before I chose the store I wanted and had it built. The store is doing very well and I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first website about 5 years ago. A personal site about me with some pictures on it. It's still out there some were, I'll find it again someday. I also have an ebay store running now: http://keithscollections.com in memory of my father who was a collector of everything. He passed away in Sept. 04 and my family has decided to share some of his collections with others.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
From the products for sale in the store.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
No difference, just a large variety of items.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it, see how it goes.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My store just opened 20 Sept 07. The store is a lot of work and I'm about 1/3 of my investmemt has been made back. Since Sept 20/07 the store has had 39,777 hits. I think thats good but a lot of work advertising it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
More advertising.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
No unexpected extra costs but the headache comes from learning the c-panel (changing things, putting in new products and building the pages)
What has been your biggest challenge?
The C-Panel. I'm 52 and got my first computer about 6 year ago and taught myself how to use it, enough to get by so this c-panel thing was a real challenge but i'm getting the hang of it.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Getting out there and talking to other people, worldwide advertising. See the links page on my site.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
A lot of work, I thought you buy the site and sit back and let it run itself. Nope,I was wrong. But it has been an experience and fun.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The Ritual Chest has been going since Sept. 20/07. I told my wife I was going to try it for 1 year and see how things go from there or if I start to loose money on it.
Does my site offend you?
I am truly sorry if my site offends anyone because of the nature of the site, but I have done my research and found there it a big market for the products that I sell. Please visit my site and judge it for yourself and drop me an email and let me know what you think.
Thanks
Peter
