Name of your website?Cherry Valley Retreat
Your name?
Nancy Huber
Your Location (city, etc)
Thornton
Please give us a short summary of your website?
The Family farm has been lovingly restored (ours since 1844) to share this peaceful space with others who would like Workshops on Self and Soul's Growth, Learning to connect with higher self, animals, guides, Angels. Learning their Lifes' Purpose.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I felt it was a good way to get the name known.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Fall 2007 http://www.cherryvalleyretreat.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
When immigrants came from the Old Country, they named their farms after the name of the place they left behind. Mine is Cherry Valley, my cousin's is Gilleadvale
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
The unique venue. The house sits in a bright white vortex with streaks of pale pink and pale green in it. The Algonquin Shaman Pete has done an Honouring of the Earths Spirits Ceremony there to remove any blockages to enlightenment and healing. This ceremony was well attended by people and spirits. It also has been blessed by an Anglican Priest. The two negative lines intersecting on the property have been re-directed on instructions from Richard Bryant.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To enjoy people discovering their world and Psychic gifts expanding, and eventually have a family business. I do remote viewing and absent healing. My eldest daughter will be taking her Reiki Master (she is currently a Director in a large multi-national- so I'll have to wait a while), My future daughter in-law is a Reiki Master who sometimes channels messages- and my son her partner, sees the souls.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We have done nothing but invest in restoration at this point and are just beginning Workshops.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
A lot of advertising in print media.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, there are a few final administrative tools to be put in place, and that can happen quickly.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Restoration of 50 years of neglect, uncovers all kinds of repairs that need to be done before you can proceed. It has taken years, but it's ready!
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting the word out about Cherry Valley
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I've tried many avenues, and can't say that any of them have really worked yet. Perhaps the site is too new?
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I have a third party operate the website, and they have given me a template to go in and add, change or delete offerings as the time passes. Apparently it's not a case of putting it up and leaving it alone.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It's been running since last fall- I think around September. I feel it is an important tool, even if all it does is give the business legitimacy on our literature
How do you know you are on the right path?
The synchronicities happening since making this decision have been awesome. I know I am meant to offer this, and share what I have been incredibly blessed with, with others. An interview with me is archived on www.intuitivesoul.com/radio Dec 13th 2007 and with my Animal Communications teacher Sheila, the same day. My story is also on www.connectingstores.com page 13. Thank you for this opportunity. Blessings!
