A site offering free resources on spiritual enlightenment and inspirational quotes~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? The site transpired as a result of a friend who was having difficulties with "finding herself" after an abusive relationship. I would email her inspirational quotes on a daily basis for support. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? My first website was launched in 2002 and it was an information site on selling wholesale products via flea markets, ebay and various online venues. How did you decide on a name for your website? I decided on awaken lifes purpose as it fits with what the site is all about What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? Awaken life's purpose is different in that you can visit the site often for new and fresh content. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) I would eventually like to be able to maintain a small income to cover my hosting costs and hopefully branch out with other related sites. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? The site is invaluable emotionally and mentally. i have not earned any income from it. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? I would pay for target advertising and marketing. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? absolutely What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? My server being down and not being able to update my site. What has been your biggest challenge? Not getting any amazon referrals, trying out google adsense What method has been most successful for promoting your website? SEO, keywords and advertising my site in relevent forums. How has running your website differed from your expectations? I expected to get at least a small amount of amazon referral money to cover my hosting fees How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
