In the previous blog we have followed the concept of negation to find out whatever the real "I" means in the spiritual context. Of course this negative approach may be useful in answering questions which have multiple options and a sure answer amongst those options such as in multiple choice questions. But in this case the matter seems to be something else, related to the very base of existence and hence we found that although we were able to logically conclude to a satisfactory degree of reasoning that the real "I" is not confined or limited to any particular body part or organ.
Yet this does not mean that it does not exist for that would mean denying the very essence of life itself. So what is the answer to this question? Well this question has been troubling the Saints, sages, philosophers and religious thinkers across the globe since times immemorial.
There exist various explanations in different religions, sects and schools of thought regarding this which range from highly philosophical answers to even some silly answers. We will take a look at few of these answers in the upcoming blogs from various perspectives including important schools of thought from all regions, places and time spans.
