Please give us a short summary of your website?
Mystic John Culbertson is my official website and includes information about the classes I am teaching and the services that I offer as a professional psychic channel, reiki master, and spiritual coach. It also contains selected articles and of course will be offering my meditation CDs in the very future. Additionally, a few other goodies are planned; such as the free chakra meditation and computer readings for those who can't afford my regular readings.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have been a professional psychic channel for the last five years, and have been reading in a non professional manner for much longer. My whole life has been spent investigating the new age and metaphysical world in some capacity or another. I felt it was time that I had my own place, so to speak, where others could come to learn about me.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My very first website was launched back in the early 1990s and was a teen advice website. I, and several friends, offered "advice" to teenagers who were having a variety of problems in their life. We were fortunate enough to win several awards for that site. About two years later I had to close the site, simply because I did not have enough time to dedicate to it and nobody else really wanted to take it over.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Mystic John Culbertson came about when I realized that psychicjohnculbertson wasn't available. I wanted something with my name in it and something that was metaphysical/new age oriented and this is what happened.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My personal touch. It's a site purely about me and it will only keep expanding over time. I don't claim to be the best psychic in the world. In fact, I usually recommended my clients to see several different psychics. It's a lot like finding a doctor, you want to find someone that works for you and if by some chance I don't, then it's important that they are able to find someone else who will. Meanwhile, the articles that will continue to be added will hopefully be a great source for anyone in the metaphysical community, especially those who are somewhat new to it.
What is your eventual goal?
My eventual goal is to continue to teach and educate people in this field. I come from a psychological and religious background and mix both with my new age/metaphysical knowledge; this thankfully has enabled me to communicate with and come to an understanding with most people. I want to eventually travel, speak, and teach throughout the world.
The goal of my website is to help open people up to this community, to themselves, and to allow them to be able to follow me on my journey as it continues to evolve.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Success.... my life guide constantly reminds me that success is purely based on our own perceptions. When we think we are successful, we fully embrace it and that becomes apart of our known reality. Success comes from dedicating one to their true life path and life work, whatever that may be. As long as we do that we will eventually find success.

I heard you've got a book comming soon, is it true?
Yes. My first book "Psychic Self Defense and Energy Awareness" will be available by the end of the year, and hopefully within the next couple of months. It's in the final editing stages right now.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I will always find a way to keep up with the demand of my time. I not only do this as part of my work, but I live it as my life.
Your site seems to offer computer email tarot readings, why would someone buy one of those when they can make an appointment with you?
The site is also going to be offering computer generated astrology reports in the future too. The main reason these are being offered is because not everyone can afford to have a private appointment with me, and I want to give those people who can't a chance to still be able to walk away with a reading of sorts. Additionally, these reports are hand picked by me and have met with my personal approval.
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge has been learning that, as a teacher and inspirational speaker I can only give and show others certain ideas and concepts... but once those people are no longer my students or in my audience I have no ability to monitor what they do with the information from there.
The second biggest challenge has been letting skeptics know that I appreciate them for who they are. You see, our world needs these individuals in it for they help to keep us solid and well grounded and remind us that just because someone tells you something doesn't mean you should run off and do it without putting any of your own thought into it. We will always be responsible for our own decisions no matter what we may hear from another individual, and skeptics are a firm and constant reminder to everyone of this fact.
In the psychic/new age community they often talk about spirit guides, do you have any?
Absolutely. Everyone does. My two primary guides are Alexander, my protector, and Marcius, my life guide. My protector has the responsibility of hopefully guiding me away from harms way and my life guide assists me with looking at possibilities and opportunities that can help with my own personal growth and development. Alexander was a roman solider and Maricus was a solitary monk. Both of them are usually present during my channeled readings and they are the ones that I am usually passing information along from.
So you're readings don't include information from or about others guides?
Sometimes they do. Many times their guides are communicating with my own and so the information a client is getting is actually from their guides via proxy my own guides.
Sometimes I see and communicate directly with another person's guides, but this is not the norm. Sometimes deceased loved ones drop in for a visit during a session and I communicate and pass along information from them, but again that is not the norm. The average normal session involves me using some astrology, numerology, and tarot in conjunction with communicating directly with my guides to give you information about normally future opportunities. Understand, though, that I nor my guides believe that anything is set in stone.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
My site, at this time, is still a baby and has been running for roughly two weeks now. I have other sites, not related to this topic, that have been running since the late 1990s. I will keep this particular site running for as long as I continue to operate and work within the new age, metaphysical, psychic, and spiritual field regardless of gains and popularity.

I would like to close by reminding people that I firmly believe we are all intuitive and "psychic" individuals and were born with that ability woven into our DNA structure. What makes myself, and many others like me, different from the "average" person is that we've taken the time to listen and learn to develop what has been apart of our life since childhood.
When teaching, I start by telling all students that I'm not teaching you anything, I'm just reminding you of what has always been there. Hopefully my site, guides, and I and others like us will continue to find a way to help people remember so that they can rely on the self and not become dependent on someone else to lead and guide them.
