Psychic, Tarot, Automatic Writing, Astrology and Life Counseling are available via toll free number. First five minutes are free, client decides whether to continue with the call.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To help others. I have been Reading professionaly since 1962 and when the internet crossed my path, I decided to reach a wider audience of people.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
November 15, 1998 It was doing my Readings via email. When I found out about the toll free lines in October 2006 I signed onto Ether. It really works great. Website was The Seventh Sign.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I am a psychic doing psychic readings via phone thus, thephonepsychic.com. I recently decided to add two other professionals to my site.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I am a real Psychic. The two others have been interviewed and tested by me. I was leery at first with the phone lines because of the Ms. Cleo scam and didn't wanted to be connected with that disgraceful behavior. In fact, I launched a website to help clean up the phone actors who portray tarot readers on these corporate psychic lines. I feel that if these lines were operated by true Psychic's or Tarot Readers, Astrologers etc. instead of corporations who think this work is a lot of crap, there would be better sites open to the public. This is a profession where you actually do want to help people...you have a gift to give but there is still a lot of responsibility connected to that gift.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I am currently retranslating and reinterpreting Nostradamus's Quatrains. He was an Astrologer. Only an Astrologer should interpret them. The Prophecy's of Nostradamus was written shortly after W.W. II by a newspaper reporter....tsk tsk...they are all completely wrong. I am currently 68 years old and plan to continue doing Readings and my work until my time expires on the planet.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Equally.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
It would be more interactive and easier to navigate. I have had a lot of newspaper stories written about me and a lot of them or on my site but it takes forever to load...then again my Son tells me, I must be the only person still using dial up connection.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Of course I would.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Nothing insofar as my profession is concerned. I am dealing with 3 predatory lenders at this time but that has nothing to do with my work. Actually, even that was not unexpected....I had a very bad feeling at the close of escrow in 1998, it took seven years for the truth in writing to finally surface. They were to pay my first mortgage it was a refinance....turns out they never paid off the first mortgage to the Money Store who went belly up a month after my closing. WMC sold the non existent loan to Fairbanks aka Select Portfolio who in turn sold it to JP Morgan Chase...its a big mess and I am battling them in Court...long story.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Well that is a strange question since it does not indicate in life, recently, or with my website. I've had many challenges in life, it keeps me on my toes. I have Moon in Sag, Aquarius Rising and Mars on Ascendant, Sun in Libra....I need challenge.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Not the internet, I can't find myself anymore and if I do I'm way beyond page 8 in any of the search engines...too many of the same ads are in front of me. Word of mouth seems to be working.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It is pretty much what I expected it would be.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Since 1998. I will keep it up, traffic doesn't necessarily mean clients...traffic is curiosity first and if people can afford to pay for a Reading they will give us a try because they can begin that Reading free...and its not with jibber jabber, if the Reading doesn't strike a chord with the client then why should the client be expected to add money and begin paying a fee?
