Remaining in the negative zone of thought has never been good for any person. It has never helped anyone succeed into what they wanted to be. Instead of succeeding, people who always think negatively get immersed in their flaws and eventually develop insecurity.
What anyone can do is to neutralize these thoughts, and hopefully, transform them to positive ones.
