Basic fact of finding the meaning and origin of life; regligion

By Wilbur Corncob at 10/30/07 10:34
I would like to tell you one more thing before we embark on this very ambitious journey that I do not propose to act as a messenger for any particular sect, religion or regional beliefs but will try to be as elaborate and wide in my blogs.

There exist several religions in the world and literally all of them without any exception are somewhere related to the basic fact of finding the meaning and origin of life. Of course these religions and sects originated at different points of time in different regions of the globe and hence tried to incorporate the teachings based on the local traditions, customs and beliefs.

This gives a characteristic of unity in diversity to all the religions of the world and each of them had their own significance at the time of their origin.

The problem arises when with the passage of time and fundamental change in beliefs, customs and environment the real essence of these religions tends to lose their authenticity and just become empty noise boxes. Of course again I do not tend to degrade any religion or sect in the world but just want to appeal to all the citizens of the world to be logical and rational in following their own set of beliefs and faith.

From the next blog we will look at some of the paths described so vividly in the scriptures.

Findings from the Orient

By Wilbur Corncob at 10/30/07 10:32
Here I would like to me you shift your attention from the developed world of the west and concentrate on some of the findings of the Orient which most of us are not aware of.

It is true that looking from the surface, the ancient civilisations of the Orient may not seem to offer much in terms of what we consider as practical knowledge, but a little reflection and research would suffice to show that actually it is not so.

Some of the most precious gems of knowledge were dug but in the ancient civilisations which include some of those countries which do not fulfil the criteria for being classified as the developed nations in the current era. Of course one needs some level of patience and some practise before one could be convinced about the truth of such findings.

But then this holds true for any field of knowledge be it science, technology, medicine, law and so forth. Without practise and patience you cannot tend to achieve anything in this life let alone the deep mysteries which tend to unfold the very elixir of life and existence itself.

ence you need to keep your cool and start with a little belief to progress on this path.

Hidden paths to enlightenment

By Wilbur Corncob at 10/30/07 10:31
In the ancient days the wise men set upon finding such hidden paths which could lead to the inward journey thus illuminating the inner real self if it existed. As with any other field of study this was not done in a day, but was a result of painstaking efforts carried out over a period of time with the sole aim of achieving the desired objective.

They had to face misunderstanding, persecution and disbelief similar to the scientists of the olden days such as Galileo who were scoffed at when they mentioned to the world about the findings of the universe. But ultimately their theories came to be accepted worldwide and the scientists who were a subject matter of scoff in their own lifetimes are now revered as the pioneers of science.

Similarly the ancient Seers and philosophers contemplated and found out that various paths existed for carrying out the inward journey. I think by now you must have thoroughly understood the concept of the inward journey and now we will stop revolving around the topic and dive deep inside the concept of going inside from the next blog, in an effort to understand the crux of the matter.
