So I can get it just the way I want it, without paying large fees to website developers. Oh, and to attract a larger clientele base. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? This is my first website. How did you decide on a name for your website? Took some time, but I decided that Gold Dragon was the type of image I wanted to give to my business What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? There's not a huge amount of difference, though I can see that I include a great deal more detail than my competitiors. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) Keep it for income and promotion How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? The website has well and truly paid for itself. Also by writing my own, I saved a bundle of money If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? I'd probably have a specialised directory. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Probably not at the moment, however I have started training others in Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology, so hopefully soon I will have others available to take up the slack. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? Not many at all. I made sure I did my research properly. What has been your biggest challenge? The steep learning curve, especially getting a good pagerank. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Linking. How has running your website differed from your expectations? Linking! How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? Just over 12 months, and I'll keep it going forever most likely.
