Here I would like to me you shift your attention from the developed world of the west and concentrate on some of the findings of the Orient which most of us are not aware of. It is true that looking from the surface, the ancient civilisations of the Orient may not seem to offer much in terms of what we consider as practical knowledge, but a little reflection and research would suffice to show that actually it is not so.
Some of the most precious gems of knowledge were dug but in the ancient civilisations which include some of those countries which do not fulfil the criteria for being classified as the developed nations in the current era. Of course one needs some level of patience and some practise before one could be convinced about the truth of such findings.
But then this holds true for any field of knowledge be it science, technology, medicine, law and so forth. Without practise and patience you cannot tend to achieve anything in this life let alone the deep mysteries which tend to unfold the very elixir of life and existence itself.
